The ISO‑X is an intelligent isolator module used in Notifier addressable fire alarm systems to protect the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) against wiring shorts. It detects a short between conductors, isolates the affected loop section, and allows the remainder of the loop to continue operating. The unit resets automatically when the short condition is cleared. It is powered directly from the SLC and supports standard wiring styles (4, 6, 7).
